Charity gets WHEELS!

Sports Alive Northwest Charity have been successful in securing funding for a much needed Minibus through the Steve Morgan foundation, with the help and support from Cobalt housing association and their young peoples, parents and families.

Lianne McGinnes says: “The charities travel costs were spiralling, due to the amount of trips and residentials we run throughout the year, and the new vehicle means it is not only more cost effective, but it opens the doors to breaking down, a lack of opportunities for young people in areas that don’t have access to facilities for example, we can bring young people from our youth clubs to our use our 3G pitches at Adlam”.

The top of the range mini bus is also wheelchair accessible and gives them the flexibility to do more enrichment work, with a wider range of young people.

Lianne Adds “We want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to Steve Morgan Foundation for our brand new minibus. It will make massive difference to us and our young people in multiple ways”.

So what is the impact?

Cost-Effective Travel: The new minibus will significantly reduce travel costs for the charity. With the number of trips and residentials they organise throughout the year, having a reliable vehicle is essential.

Accessibility and Opportunities: The wheelchair accessibility of the top-of-the-range minibus is a game-changer. It opens doors for more young people who may not have access to facilities like 3G pitches. Now, they can participate in activities and experiences they might have missed out on previously.

Enrichment Work: The flexibility provided by the minibus allows the charity to engage in more enrichment work. Whether it’s educational outings, community events, or team-building activities, this resource will enhance their programs.

Lianne McGinnes’s heartfelt gratitude to the Steve Morgan Foundation reflects the positive impact this minibus will have on the charity and the young people they serve.

Kudos to everyone involved in making this happen! 🎉 The wheels are not just wheels; they’re a vehicle for positive change and empowerment.
