Amazing Day out at Manley Mere!

A couple of months ago, our young people from the Tuebrook and Kirkby centres had an absolutely brilliant day out at Manley Mere and let’s just say, it got messy (in the best way possible!)

They kicked things off with the adventure trail, tackling obstacles, swinging across ropes and testing their balance on wobbly bridges, all while getting very, very muddy. Then they moved onto the Aquapark where more fun was had, this time of a wet variety!

But behind all the fun and chaos, trips like this are so important for the young people we work with. For many, it’s a rare chance to get out of their local area, try something completely new and spend time with friends in a positive, supportive environment.

Days like these help build confidence, teamwork and resilience. They teach young people to face challenges, whether that’s climbing over an obstacle, braving cold water or figuring out how to get a wetsuit on the right way round (it’s a learning curve for everyone!)

More than anything, it gives them a sense of achievement and belonging. When they cheer each other on, laugh together and realise they can do things they didn’t think they could, that’s where the real growth happens.

We’re so proud of every single young person who got stuck in, gave it their all and made the most of the day!
