We’re really proud to share that Sports Alive has been awarded funding through the Better Youth Spaces (BYS) programme and it’s going to make a huge difference to what we can offer young people in our community.
This funding is all about creating safer, more engaging and more inspiring spaces for young people, and that’s exactly what we’re focused on.
We know how important it is for young people to have somewhere they feel comfortable, supported and able to be themselves. The BYS grant is helping us take that even further.
What this means for our centre
Thanks to this funding, we’ve been able to invest in new equipment and improve our space to create more opportunities for young people to get involved, stay active and try something new.
Alongside this, we’re continuing to develop the overall space within the centre, making it more welcoming, more functional and better suited to the needs of the young people we work with.
We’ll be sharing updates as everything comes together and we can’t wait for you to see the finished space.
Looking ahead
We’re really excited about what this means for the future of Sports Alive. The improvements we’re making now will help us continue to grow, reach more young people, and offer even more opportunities for them to get involved, try new things and build positive futures.
